altcom has collaborated with the University of Edinburgh on the re-analysis of induced seismicity observed at the UK ‘hot dry rock’ test site in Cornwall during the 1980's.
The objective of the R&D was to apply modern processing and analysis techniques to this historic data set.
The results of the collaboration are to be published in the scientific journal Geophysical Journal International.
The title of the paper is "Induced seismicity at the UK ‘hot dry rock’ test site for geothermal
energy production" and the authors are Xun Li and Ian Main, from the University of Edinbrgh, and Andrew Jupe from altcom.
