Eden Geothermal Project have announced the start of drilling at their site near St Austell in Cornwall.
Eden Geothermal’s Facebook Page states:
‘We’re delighted to announce that MND’s 450-tonne, 55m-high rig has now been fully assembled, tested and inspected on the Eden Geothermal site, and that drilling for our first deep geothermal well is about to start! Our journey 4,500m into the granite beneath the Eden Project begins on Monday 17th May, and marks a momentous step towards our goal of green energy heating Eden’s Biomes, offices and greenhouses.’
